شاید بتوان اصغر قاتل را اولین قاتل زنجیره‌ای ایران دانست (لااقل بعد از قاجار، و اگر به قاتلان بی‌رحم پیش از مدرن هم بشود زنجیره‌ای گفت). اصغر بامیه‌فروشی بود که زمان رضاشاه پسربچه‌ها را بعد از تجاوز می‌کشت. اما قاتل زنجیره‌ای بعدی که اولین قاتل زنجیره‌ای بعد انقلاب هم محسوب می‌شود مجید سالک‌محمودی است. مجید زندگی روتین و ساده‌ای داشت. خودش یک مغازه‌ی فروش پرده و تزئینات خانه داشت و همسرش هم معلم بود. اوایل جنگ و در سال ۵۹ زندگی روی بدش را به مجید نشان داد. چند چک او برگشت خورد و برای دو سال به زندان افتاد. مجید در زندان برای اینکه اموالش را از دست طلبکاران دور نگه دارد همه چیز را به نام زنش کرد. بعد از آزادی از زندان متوجه شد زنش با پسرخاله‌‌اش رابطه دارد و تمام اموال را هم بالا کشیده‌اند. مجید طلاق گرفت و زندگی جدیدش را شروع کرد. حالا او یک هدف مهم داشت: باید همه‌ی زن‌های خیانت‌کار را مجازات می‌کرد.

البته خود مجید هم دامن پاکی نداشت. از سال ۵۷ با زنی مطلقه به نام اختر که دو فرزند داشت در ارتباط بود و یک تاکسی هم به صورت شریکی گرفته بودند. اختر و دو فرزند ۱۱ و ۹ ساله‌اش به نام‌های محمد و فرحناز اولین قربانیان مجید بوند. مجید در اعترافاتش این‌گونه گفته است:

اختر شوهر نداشت و در تبريز زندگي مي كرد. دوتا بچه داشت. او را از سال ۵۷ مي شناختم. با او به شراكت يك تاكسي خريده بوديم. صدهزارتومان به من پول داده بود و قرار بود من با كاركردن روي ماشين ماهي ۱۲هزارتومان به او پول بدهم. يك خانه هم خريديم ولي خانه به نام اختر بود و خودش قسط بانك را مي داد، ولي من معامله را جور كردم. اختر به مغازه‌ی تزئيناتي من مي آمد و اگر زن و بچه‌ام به سراب مي رفتند، به خانه‌ی من مي آمد. يك شب بين من و او اختلاف پيدا شد. او با بچه‌هايش به خانه‌ی من آمده بود و زن و بچه‌ی من هم سراب بودند. صبح با كمك برادرزنم آنها را كشتيم و در حياط خانه خاك كرديم.

درست روز بعد او اعلام كرد به دروغ خواسته پاي برادرزنش را به ميان بكشد و علت به قتل رساندن اختر، چيز ديگري بوده است:

شبي كه اختر با دوبچه‌اش به خانه‌ی من آمد مقداري سيانور دراختيار من قرار داد و ازمن خواست با آن زن و بچه‌ام را بكشم. او به من گفته بود اين دارو اثري برجا نمي‌گذارد و هركس آن را بخورد قلبش از كار مي‌ايستد. من نمي‌توانستم همسرم را بكشم اما تصميم گرفتم او و بچه‌هايش را بكشم و از شر آنان راحت شوم. اختر طرز خوراندن دارو را به من ياد داده بود. دارو را به هر سه نفرشان خوراندم. صبح كه بيدارشدم ديدم هر سه نفر مرده‌اند. جسدهايشان سفيد شده بود. بلافاصله از خانه بيرون رفتم و دو تا كارگر گرفتم. حياط را كندند، كارگرها را مرخص كردم. جسدها را كنار هم در چاله چيدم و روي آنها را با خاك پوشاندم.

از اینجا به بعد مجید از قالب قبلی کاملا بیرون می‌آید و مأمور مجازات زنان خائن می‌شود. یک شورلت ایران سبزرنگ هم در این ماجراجویی همراه اوست. مدل کارش تقریبا ثابت است. با زنان متأهل طرح دوستی می‌ریزد و بعد آنها را با طناب سفید یک متری خفه می‌کند. مسیر تهران، کرج، تبریز و ارومیه در سال‌های ۵۹ تا ۶۴ شاهد ۲۱ قتل بودند. زن‌هایی که به ادعای مجید همه مشکل اخلاقی داشتند. مجید اولین قاتل ایرانی است که در قتل‌هایش نشانه به جای می‌گذارد. همه‌ی زن‌ها با طناب‌های سفید یک‌متری خفه شده‌اند و اصلا یکی از دلایل لو رفتنش هم پیدا شدن تعداد زیادی طناب پلاستیکی یک متری سفید در صندوق عقب ماشینش بود.

یکی از دلخراش‌ترین قتل‌های مجید در امامزاده طاهر اتفاق افتاده است. زنی به اسم منصوره که ساکن حصارک کرج بود. مجید در اعتراف‌هایش این گونه می‌گوید:

 روز اول او را در يك رنو ديدم. وقتي پياده شد. سوارش كردم. گفت مي خواهد نيرو‌هوايي برود. سوارش كردم. در نيروهوايي گفت: اينجا كار ندارم، برو تهرانپارس. آنجا گفت: قهركردم و با صاحبخانه دعوايم شده. دوباره برگرد و مرا به كرج ببر. صد تومان ماشين را در بست كرد. بين راه يك‌دفعه گريه كرد و گفت: طلاق گرفته‌ام، ولي شوهرم دوباره با من صلح كرده و حالا كتكم مي‌زند و خرجي نمي‌دهد. زن گرفته و با او خوش است در كرج خانه‌اي از دور نشانم داد. از او پول نگرفتم و او گفت: ۵۰۰ تومان قرض بده، سه روز ديگر بر مي‌گردانم. گفتم: مي‌خواهم به تبريز بروم، كار دارم. اگر ديدي پول را پس بده و گرنه نمي‌خواهم. با من قرار گذاشت. موقع برگشت كوچه‌ها را گم كردم ولي وقتي سر خيابان رسيدم ديدم منتظر ماشين است. سوار شد و رفت، تعقيبشان كردم ولي بين راه بنزين تمام كردم. روز قرار رفتم با بچه‌اش آمد و سوارشد گفتم پول را به صاحبخانه دادي؟ گفت: آره وقتي تو رفتي  شوهرم آمد. مي‌دانستم دروغ مي‌گويد. دوباره پول خواست و گفت مرا خانه‌ی مادرم ببر. كوچه‌اي را نشان داد و پائين رفت. از دور تعقيبش كردم. سرخيابان سوار ماشين ديگري شد. چند روز او را زير نظر گرفتم. سوار مي‌شد و از راننده‌ها پول مي‌گرفت. آن شب تا ساعت ۱۰ شب سوار ماشين‌ها بود كه مرا ديد. سوارش كردم. جلوي امامزاده رفتيم. ساعت نزديك ۲ نيمه شب بود. برق نبود. او را كشتم. بچه‌اش را جلوي خانه مادرش بردم. مردم شناختند و او را بردند و من هم فرار كردم.

و البته مجید دست‌کم در همین دو جمله‌ی آخر اعترافش دروغ می‌گوید. چون جسد یخ‌زده‌ی نوزاد نه ماهه‌ی منصوره هم نزدیکی‌های جنازه‌‌ی مادرش در همان روز پیدا شده بود. این سناریو یک بار دیگر نیز برای یک پسربچه‌ی ۴ ساله در جاده‌ی بستان‌آباد اتفاق افتاده است. مجید دست‌کم بیست و یک زن و چهار کودک را کشت تا در نهایت ۲۴ بهمن سال ۶۴، یعنی تقریبا ۳۲ سال پیش همین روزها، دستگیر شد.

در آخرین شکار، مجید با یک دختر ۱۷ ساله قرار می‌گذارد و وقتی او را سوار می‌کند برادر دختر از راه می‌رسد و با مجید درگیر می‌شود. مجید و دختر فرار می‌کنند اما برادر دختر شیشه‌ی عقب ماشین را می‌شکند. پلیس به شورلت سبزرنگی که شیشه‌ی عقبش شکسته شده است مشکوک می‌شود و بعد از بازرسی ماشین در صندوق عقب چندین لباس زنانه و البته تعداد زیادی طناب سفید یک متری پیدا می‌کند و مجید دستگیر می‌شود.

قتل‌های ناموسی در ایران سابقه‌ای بسیار طولانی دارد. اما مجید شاید اولین قاتل زنجیره‌ای باشد که به بهانه‌ی اصلاح اجتماعی دست به قتل می‌زده است. بعد از مجید هم چندین قاتل زنجیره‌ای به این بهانه دست به قتل زدند. اما در اکثریت قریب به اتفاق پرونده‌ها، خیلی زود اثبات می‌شد که قاتل انگیزه‌های دیگری داشته است و به مقتولان تجاوز کرده است. اما مجید سالک‌محمودی در تمام اعتراف‌هایش مصر بود که تنها هدفش مجازات زن‌های خائن بوده است. و همین ماجرا را برای مصیبت‌دیدگان و اطرافیان مقتول‌ها تراژیک‌تر می‌کند. در جست‌وجوهایم در یکی از وب‌سایت‌هایی که ماجرا را شرح داده بود یک کامنت غم‌انگیزترین بخش گزارش را ساخت:

من از اقوام محبوبه ۳۲ ساله‌ی معلم هستم. محبوبه زن نجیبی بود. معلم بود و حتی زمان تحویل جنازه جای چنگ مشهود بود. من جریان فساد رو نمی‌پذیرم حداقل در مورد محبوبه.

در پرونده‌ی مجید تناقض‌های حل‌نشده زیاد است و مهم‌ترین دلیلش این است که او در خرداد سال ۶۵ و قبل از اینکه بازجویی‌ها تمام شود، در زندان با استفاده از نوار شش سانتی‌متری که از پتویش ساخته بود خودش را دار زد.

طناب‌های سفید در سال‌های ابتدایی دهه‌ی ۶۰ قرار بود نماد مظلومیت مردی باشد که زنش به او خیانت کرده است. اما در آن سال‌های جنگ ماجرا آنقدر هم جلب توجه نکرد و حتی رسانه‌ها خیلی به این نپرداختند که مجید خودش، پیش از تمام این ماجراها به زنش خیانت کرده بود و حتی در مقام یک انتقام‌گیر به سبک کاراکتر منفی ریپر در مجموعه کمیک‌های بتمن هم صلاحیت اصلاح و انتقام نداشت. مجید در اعتراف‌هایش سعی می‌کرد ثابت کند که تک‌تک قربانیانش زنان متأهلی بوده‌اند که گول او را خورده‌اند و حاضر شده‌اند به همسرشان خیانت کنند. اما «معضل» و نقطه‌ی کانونی ماجرای مجید جای دیگری است. او خودش خیانت کرده و اولین قتل‌هایش برای سرپوش گذاشتن روی همین خیانت اتفاق افتاده‌ است. پس از آن بوده که احساس کرده است مشکل از زنانی است که به اصطلاح خودش به او پا می‌دهند. اما در همین اعتراف‌های مجید و به فرض درست و صادقانه‌ بودنشان هم داستان زنانی را می‌بینیم که شوهرشان رهایشان کرده است و به لطف حق انحصاری طلاق، آنها را در بند خود نگه داشته یا همسر دیگری دارند. یعنی حتی مجید هم اذعان می‌کند که این زن‌هایی که قصد مجازاتشان را دارد، همه قربانی اتفاق‌هایی پیش از خیانتی‌اند که برایش مجازات می‌شوند. هرچند که به نظرش، قربانی بودن دلیل موجهی برای خیانت کردن نیست.

بعد از سه دهه از ماجراهای طناب سفید مجازات، هنوز هم در روایت‌های این قاتل زنجیره‌ای، اینگونه می‌خوانیم که مجید به زندان رفت، زنش به او خیانت کرد و اموالش را بالا کشید و او از همه‌ی زن‌های خائن انتقام گرفت؛ و البته این‌گونه مجازات کردن کار درستی نیست. در صورتی که روایت عادلانه‌تر این است که مجید به زنش خیانت کرد، بعد به زندان رفت، سپس برای رسوا نشدن مجبور شد زن دوم و بچه‌هایش را بکشد و بعد زنش به او خیانت کرد و بعد بقیه‌ی ماجرا. در این صورت احتمالا تمام اعترافات قهرمانانه‌ی مجید شکل دیگری به خود خواهد گرفت. هرچند که هنوز هم برای رسانه‌ها ماجرایی شبیه فیلم سگ‌کشی بیضایی از واقعیت کریه‌تر جامعه دلپسندتر است.
